DIVINE MOTHER PUJA with KRISHNAN NAMBOODIRI Sunday, May 13, 7pm by
donation We are honored and very excited to welcome special guest
Krishnan Namboodiri, a South Indian Tantric priest, to the Yoga Warehouse! Krishnan
Namboodiri is trained in the classical tradition of mantras (sacred sounds), pujas
(prayers), homas (fire rituals), and yantras (sacred geometric designs). He is
the priest of the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat in the Bahamas, in charge of performing
daily rituals and special ceremonies. He is also a Vedic astrologer, and comes
from a long family lineage of tantric priests, as well as being a popular hatha
yoga teacher. Krishnan Namboodiri will guide us through an Ashta Lakshmi
Puja for the grace of the three aspects of the Goddess: Lakshmi, Saraswati and
Durga, and for the eight different kinds of prosperity: good health, wealth, wisdom,
success in business, success in transactions, favorable job, good family, and
peace and happiness in family life. Everyone present will have the rare opportunity

& ANSWER SESSION with BRAHMACHARI SHANKAR Special Saturday Satsang, May
19, 7-9pm What is our purpose in life? Why do we make the same mistakes
over and over again? What is enlightenment, moksha, liberation? How do we reach
such a state? Do you have a question about life, yoga or the spiritual
path? Please join Brahmachari Shankar as he leads this special Saturday night
meditation gathering (guided meditation, chanting and yoga study) and takes your
questions about anything you would like to ask. Brahmachari Shankar is
a senior staff member of the Sivananda Yoga Retreat in the Bahamas. He spent several
years in India with Swami Chaitanyananda, a senior disciple of Swami Sivananda
of Rishikesh. He teaches Bhagavad Gita, Sanskrit and Vedanta classes in the Sivananda
Yoga Teachers' Training Course, and is known as a humorous and engaging story

you. PREGNANCY YOGA COURSE with
GAURI Thursdays, 6-8pm

The singular, miraculous experience that is pregnancy is a special and sacred
time for the mother-to-be. The Yoga Warehouse is excited to provide a space for
pregnant women to come together, connect with one another and, most importantly,
connect with their babies as they prepare to welcome new life into the world.
This course balances mind, body and spirit through yoga asanas, breathing
exercises and visualizations specifically tailored to the pregnant mother. Pregnancy
yoga focuses on strengthening and preparing the body for the changes and beautiful
challenges that will be experienced, and is suitable for students new to yoga
as well as those with an established practice. Offered over a six-week
period, the course is limited to 10 students for individual attention. Classes
meet Thursdays from 6-8pm, allowing ample time for a nurturing, balanced yoga
practice as well as an opportunity for students to share their experiences. Attendance
at all six sessions is recommended, although accommodations will be made as space
allows for mothers who are newly pregnant or close to their due date.
Gauri (Jessica Avila) has been a student at the Yoga Warehouse for many years
and has been a YW teacher since she completed the Sivananda Yoga Teachers Training
Course (200 hours) in 2008. She recently graduated from the Sivananda Pregnancy
Yoga Teacher Training (75 hours) and is very enthusiastic about these classes.
She is also the owner and principal instructor of Ocean Om Standup Paddle Yoga.
Gauri is a caring teacher who creates a soothing, nurturing environment in her
classes while encouraging students to explore their personal boundaries and reap
the greatest benefit from their practice on all levels. $120, space

YOGA FOR BEGINNERS COURSE with MOHINI Saturdays, 10-11:30am June 2, 9
16, 23 and 30 This course will provide a step-by-step introduction
to the theory and practice of yoga, emphasizing the practice of yoga postures,
breathing, relaxation, proper diet, and concentration. After completion of this
course, students will be able to confidently join any of the open level classes
on the regular Yoga Warehouse schedule.
Mohini is a co-director of the Yoga Warehouse and has
been teaching since 1998. She is a graduate of the Sivananda
Yoga Teachers Training Course and Advanced Yoga Teachers
Training Course and has continued her practice and study
of yoga by participating in numerous advanced courses.
She is an instructor in the Yoga Teachers Training Course
and other programs at various Sivananda Yoga ashrams.

ADVANCED ASANA and PRANAYAMA
CLASS with Shyam
Saturday, June 2, 2-5pm
Learn and practice advanced variations of the
standard Sivananda sequence, and longer holding of the
postures. Strive toward the one-pointed integration
of body, breath, and mind in asana, and achieve steadiness
(sthira) and comfort (sukham) in your practice. Explore
the underlying purpose of asana and pranayama practice:
the attainment of dhyana (meditation).
Shyam is the founder and co-director of the Yoga Warehouse
and has been teaching since 1996. He is a graduate of
the Sivananda Yoga Teachers Training Course and Advanced
Yoga Teachers Training Course and has continued his
practice and study of yoga by participating in numerous
advanced courses. He is also an instructor in the Sivananda
Yoga Teachers Training Course and Advanced Teachers
Training Course and teaches other programs at various
Sivananda Yoga ashrams.

WORKSHOP
Techniques to Relieve Anxiety
with RUKMINI
Sunday, June 3, 2-4:30pm
Following up on her
very popular introductory workshop on Yoga and Aromatherapy
for Stress Relief, which included some information on
how to counteract anxiety, depression & insomnia,
this workshop will focus more specifically on healing
anxiety, a condition that arises when there is chronic
stress.
Enjoy a relaxing 2½-hour session learning and
practicing:
* Specific yoga asanas (postures) to counteract anxiety
and panic attacks.
* Breathing techniques to calm down and bring serenity.
* Mudras (hand positions) and special exercises to promote
calmness and
release negative energy.
* Simple meditation techniques to center and quiet the
mind.
* The use of powerful and healing essential oils to
promote relaxation, calm
the mind, and release blockages, with information on
how they work on our
brain and body.
This will be a hands-on session consisting of theory
and practice, which will
teach easy and simple techniques that can be practiced
at home, work or any time needed. You will learn the
traditional inhalation of the oils (not application
on the body), how to make a spray and simple home uses
(such as baths, massage oils, simple diffusing techniques).
Participants will experience the healing power of essential
oils during the session, will make their own aromatherapy
eye pillow, and will also be given essential oil samples
to takeho me. The workshop will end with a deep relaxation
session.
Rukimini is a certified Sivananda yoga teacher and is
known for her caring,
enthusiastic and humorous approach to teaching. She
is a longtime student of aromatherapy with a special
interest in integrating the healing power of
essential oils with the practice of yoga to counteract
stress & anxiety.

Ongoing MORNING
CHANT FOR WORLD PEACE AND HARMONY Every Saturday from 7:30-7:55am
Join us in the ancient chant Om Namo Narayanaya
for inner and outer peace. Chanting begins in the Peace Garden 30 minutes before
the 8am class and ends approximately five minutes before the start of class. Free

MEDITATION and KIRTAN (SATSANG) Every Sunday evening, 7-8:30pm
Guided meditation followed by kirtan (call-and-response mantra chanting and
music) and a short reading, all in the Sivananda tradition. Beginners and all
